The Classic Motor Museum of St. Michaels is dedicated to providing educational resources to classic car enthusiasts, including workshops, seminars and docent-led tours. One of our most important projects is providing hands-on workshops where students can learn about car restoration. We are dedicated to providing vocational learning to young people who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity. The Winter 2019-2020 project is a 2008 Smart car that was in an accident. Students are
repairing it and getting it ready to sell.

CMM Student Chapter of AACA
Eleven students from Talbot County became charter members in what is a very elite group - a Student Chapter of the National Antique Automobile Club of America. On January 2nd, they met at CMM to elect officers and to finalize the paperwork to submit to the Bay Country Region AACA. The Bay Country Region will sponsor the group as a student chapter. They also have support from the Eastern Shore AACA. The new chapter was recognized at the National AACA meeting in Philadelphia on February 10th, 2018.
CMM also partners with Shane's Driving School to provide Drivers Education for local youth. The next Drivers Ed Class begins January 6, 2020 (3-6:15pm) and goes for two weeks.
First Gear students Matt Dunn (L) and Chazier Allan work on a 1938 Alvis British sportscar as part of the Museum's education program. First Gear is designed to help local students gain experience restoring and maintaining antique cars.
